- there are christmas decorations up in the lobby of my building. but pre-thanksgiving? ah well, it nonetheless makes me all mitteny. - i went to brooklyn for the second time in two weeks. i felt worldly. - last night i ate pumpkin soup (yes, still) and three ears of corn-on-the-cobb. - while eating, i used seven napkins. i suppose the fact that the napkins are stolen from the mcdonald's near my house and about one-third the size of real napkins mitigates this a bit. that's .78 real napkin per cobb of corn. (but still.)
here are some links especially for you. - if i could, i would give you a ghillie suit. - science girl, science girl, tell me how these work. - lizard-meat hysteria. i'll leave it at that.
[i should mention that these links came from the manhattan user's guide.]
yesterday, i was walking around fort tryon park doing my photo thing. there's a lookout there where you can watch the sun set over the GW bridge. a man had surrounded himself with the following things: - a plastic cup of white wine. - a paper bag of nuts (for the squirrels, of course). - an am/fm radio playing the classical station.
i hosted an impromtu party on friday: - corn pancakes.
also recently, i (i, i): - skinned my knees. - typed on my smith-corona super sterling typewriter. - washed a cat. - got scratched by said cat while trying to wash him. - cooked more squash and some salmon.
